Bulk inventory counts

Question: is there currently a way to do bulk inventory/stock modifications? As mentioned previously, I'm looking to implement cycle-counts and since I have >1300 different parts on hand, I'm hoping to split up the counts by location.

I've figured out how to export them for printing lists, but I realized that I also need a way to (preferably quickly) "import" all the actual counts.

Does this sound like something that is possible? Or am I looking at writing some sort of API tool?
