Fields at edges

The documentation lists fields defined at cell centers and vertices. Some algorithms also require fields at the edges. How would you suggest handling those? As far as I understand, Chmy.jl would use a combination of center positions in one direction and vertices in the other one, correct?

If that's the case, it may be nice to update the documentation to list this explicitly at the top of the page I linked above.

Hi @ranocha ! Your understanding is correct, the location in Chmy.jl is specified as a composite of 1D-locations, allowing associating fields with cell centres, vertices, interfaces, or edges. Currently, I'm preparing a complete rework of Chmy for the version v0.2, which I plan to release in the upcoming months. API will change significantly, even though the composite locations will still be there. I'll update the doc accordingly for the new API to make it clear how to construct fields on different grid staggerings, thanks for your suggestion.
