QBO-MJO metrics

In collaboration with NCAR, QBO-MJO metrics are planned to be implemented to PMP.

• Metrics: QBO-MJO
• Description: The easterly phase of the QBO has been shown to increase MJO activity over the maritime continent during DJF. The modulation occurs in the more recent record (i.e. 1979 on) [details]
• Input variable: monthly U at 50mb, and daily olr.
• Reference dataset: ERA5 data for 1979-2014
