I have been playing with a cheap human presence detector (https://www.amazon.co.uk/SNZB-06P-Wireless-Detector-Presence-Required/dp/B0CTTWBCGS). It seems very promising and detects Benjamin through most of the night, just a few minutes here and there where he breathing rate must be too low for the detector so it says the room is empty - I was thinking of trying to modify it, but the seedstudio module above might be the easier way to go.
