PHPUnit tests for custom Magento Composer Module

The Setup:

• I made a Magento Module as extra composer module to be inserted into other different Magento Shop projects
• That means MyShop (Magento) does require MyModule but MyModule doesn't require MyShop
• Now I want to write some Unit Tests to check if the Data-Transformation works.

My Problem:

• How can I access something like Mage_Sales_Model_Order_Invoice if my repo doesn't have libs directly?
• Do i need to use the full Magento Repo as -dev Dependency?
• Should i need something like this? https://github.com/EcomDev/EcomDev_PHPUnit even if it got archived?
• Or should i Mock all the Magento (and Varien) classes i use?

Not sure if I understand your questions, my apology if I misunderstood.

1. Custom Magento modules installed with composer has dependencies on magento-hackathon/magento-composer-installer, which uses modman.
2. You can insert your unit test with modmad into the directory ./tests
3. After installation, you can access Mage_Sales_Model_Order_Invoice with Mage. But if what you are asking is how to access it during development, then I would say that one way is to develop your module within OpenMage. When ready, you copy the files into a separate folder and package it.

hm yeah i would write the tests so that they can be run when installed into the Magento Project

i was just thinking if i should try to do some tests that run without Magento
