As it is right now the newsletter_subscriber table stores only a few information about a subscriber and some important are missing. With the new GDPR rules I would suggest a change in the way OpenMage is dealing with email subscriptions by adding in tables new columns like: IP, browser information, date of subscribe, date of confirmation, date of unsubscribe.
Let's say someone complains he never subscribed to the newsletter. Having this information stored is easy to prove when the subscription was done. Someone could say the subscription was confirmed after an email was sent by the store but there is no proof it was done by the client.
