Clarification on how to downgrade XM530 Firmware needed.

apparently I bought one of those from Ali.

Firmware is V5.07.X02.000A07F3.10010.346732.0000010.

OFC bootloader is password protected :(

But I could downgrade the FW I guess?

But where would I find an old FW for that device or at least one that will flash and get me into the bootloader at least?
Doesn't really matter if the rest is bricked at that point.

Just short the pins as it shows in the article.
Also dual sensor modules are not supported by OpenIPC.

Do you have more details on the timing? I tried that but had no success.
If I short them prior to power-on, nothing happens.
If I short them after power on-on I have maybe 500ms to do that AND press CTRL-C.
Whatever I do I either crash the bootloader or end up with one loaded that's then asking for a PW.

You don't have to press ctrl-c. You have to short pins after u-boot loads but before linux kernel fully loads. This will make it crash back in to u-boot shell without asking a password.
