Compiling a fully working release

Forked the repo, migrated project to VS2015 and looking to compile a fully working release. Can the release be generated from Debug configuration? Even after fixing numerous linking errors, Release configuration fails due to unresolved externals (i think because of dependencies btw projects) when I try to build Prolog project
