How to make the "Remote Desctop Connection" item in the form of a menu with a drop-down list of recent connections? I recently reinstalled Windows 7. I remember in the old version there was a drop-down menu with the ability to pin some connections. For now, it's just a link. I use this very often and I wanted to do it as before, because it is much more convenient that way.

If the Taskbar shows jumplists, the shortcut for the Start Menu will also show them. Does the taskbar show it? If you just turned them on, only the items added to the jumplist after you turned them on will show in the menu. Only when they appear in Recent, you can pin them.

When you start Remote Desktop, and then right click its button on the taskbar to show its jumplist, do you get them there in that list or nope? That jumplist data is collected, maintained, updated and handled entirely by Windows, depending on OS settings. The Start menu only shows that same jumplist as the taskbar and can modify/update it.

If you want to pin certain thingies there, just find the appropriate *.rdp files for them and drag them over to the RDP icon on the taskbar to pin them.
