i built the build_native.py with NDK, i imported the project into eclipse, when i run it on my android device it says "earlybird" has stopped working. the API levels are all correct.

Ok, there are many reson will lead to this situation. here is some advice for you.

1. check the org.cocos2d.lib has link alright, If the link not work, copy the source code to your project,It in the cocos/2d/platform/android. If the Log tell you the resource can't be loaded, It probably this is the reason.
2. debug it and google it.

Im really confused, I added in admob, and this is what my project looks like, I still can't get it to work

I'm sorry to hear that,here is a project that I can run normally.

pay attention to the org.cocos2d.lib you should add this to your poroject.
and your Android.mk file should be modifed to add you srouce file.
