Add-In instructions are not correct (Samples\auth\outlook-add-in-sso-naa-ie)

Not sure if I am not following this add-in instructions correctly but the manifest has a read mode setting but the instructions are asking to create a new message to see and interact with the add-in. I tried to change the manifest but I still don't see the add-in loaded in Outlook. Thanks.
