Hi,
I'm attempting to install xDrip+ on my Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 LTE (Wear OS 4) using Wear Installer, but the install stalls right before completion — the “Allow file installation from phone” prompt never appears on the watch.
🔧 Technical Details:
Watch: Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 LTE
OS: Wear OS 4 (One UI Watch – fully updated)
Phone: Samsung, Android 14
APK used:
xDrip-plus-20250716-0463377.apk
(Nightly build from 16 July 2025 — contains both phone + Wear version)
Wear Installer: Latest version from Play Store
Developer Mode on Watch: Enabled
Wireless ADB Debugging: Enabled
IP Connection: Set and confirmed
Watch screen awake, no lock
Phone and watch on same Wi-Fi
🧪 What Works:
IP connection succeeds
Watch shows debugging active
xDrip+ settings on phone have Wear sync enabled
APK file is pushed — but no prompt appears on the watch to approve the install, and nothing is installed
❓Questions:
Is this a known issue with Wear OS 4 or Samsung firmware blocking the prompt?
Is there a way to manually install or force-push the Wear APK from the unified file?
Any workaround to re-trigger the missing prompt, or does it get blocked permanently after the first failed attempt?
Thanks a lot — everything else in xDrip+ (sensor, calibration, logging, sync to Google Fit via Health Connect) works beautifully. I’m just one step away from full Wear integration.
Thanks!
