Missed reading alert never triggered on an xDrip follower

Hi,
I am running xDrip version: https://github.com/NightscoutFoundation/xDrip/releases/tag/2025.05.09 on Pixel 9, Android 15 as an "xDrip follower" and I am not able to get the missed reading alarm working. I tried different values in the alarm settings page then go to the airplane mode for the specified time, but the alarm never gets triggered. No sound, no vibration, no popup message/notification.

It may be unrelated, but I also noticed that when I pick the missed alert sound file, the xDrip page goes a bit dark. Almost as if displaying a dialog, confirmation or an error window of sorts, but without actually showing anything. If I click anywhere, it stops being darker. As if the (missing) popup window got closed. When I try picking the missed alert sound again it says "None, currently set" as if no sound has been selected before.

There is an easier way to test it.

First, instead of using airplane mode, just disable WiFi. If the phone has a Sim card as well, disable cell service as well.
Also change the "Alert if no data received in " for the sake of the test to 6 minutes.
Now, 6 minutes after you disable WiFi and cell service, it will trigger.

Go to Other Alerts and enable "Override Silent Mode".

Check to see if you have enabled Notification Channels. I am not suggesting that you should. But, if you have enabled it, you will have to make sure the settings of the channel is not set to silent.
For that, go to Android Settings > Apps > xDrip > Notifications
This will show you all the notification channels. Tap on the left side of the Missed Reading Alert channel. it will open the detail settings. Make sure it is not set to silent.

It was enabled by default on my phone and I had to disable it.

Not sure if that helps, but I tried changing reraise period to 4 minutes and observe the same behavior where the alert notification is displayed at the 6 minutes mark (missed reading threshold), but the sound and vibration starts only at the 10 minutes mark (i.e., after the reraise period elapses) and then every other 4 minutes.

I may have disabled it long time ago, but it is definitely disabled now. Haven't touched this setting recently for sure.

Something silences the first notification. I am not sure what that is.
I wonder if any other one of your alerts shows the same behavior.

The idea behind the reraise option in the missed reading alert is that if you are sleep and you are not woken up by the alert, it will go off again hoping to wake you up eventually. So, you can control how often it will go off until you wake up and snooze it.
So, if you set it to 1 minute, it will go off once a minute until you snooze it.
I wouldn't increase it if I were you.

The only other alerts that I use are the High and Low BG alerts. And these two work as expected. The sound starts right when the threshold is crossed the first time.
