New Libre 2+ sensor type in France

Word from France is that a new Libre 2+ sensor type has been seen in the wild with different serial number format and Patch Info

Old SN = 3MH.......
New SN = 301...

"patch info" is 7F 0E 31 01 and its NFC manufacturer code is 0x7A

Previous experience is that OOP2 / xDrip+ will not recognise the 7F and default it to Libre 1. Thanks to Didier Frétigné for the heads up and @gui-dos for the patch info.

Can we get something in place for when this arises ?

No,
Currently, there may not be a developer for Libre work. If I put something together, it will heavily contain guess work. It will need to be tested before I can submit it.

Hello, I am a french xdrip user and have a sensor on my arm (Libre2+ 15 days sensor) with serial number starting with 301.

I can test all needing software.

I have no idea what that is. There is no way I can do that part even if I can change xDrip.

Yes, I believe so. Previously this happened for sensors with ID starting C5 then C6. Now we have 7F.

Just to add in our other Libre outstanding issues the serial number will go wrong #2725 and the extended life of the Libre 2+ is currently not recognised #3842 as these are probably worth addressing at the same time.

Hey! I think I am also encountering the same issue. On 3 FSL2+, two had SN 301 and didn't worked with xDrip+ (the other one 3MH and worked with the patch app). Here is a screenshot of the logs of the app if it can help.

a little further down do you get Patchinfo and similar ? You can add a tag to get it if not

go to setting->more settings ->extra tags for logging and add there NFCReaderX:v

xDrip+ is not an iOS app. Try https://github.com/JohanDegraeve/xdripswift or https://xdrip4ios.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

Which one of the two categories of Libre 2 versus Libre 2 Plus does this new sensor belong to?
Does this new sensor run 14 days or 15 days or a completely different period?

Hello, I had the same problem starting a Libre2+ sensor which was fixed by updating OOP2 and xDrip using the links above - but I do not get continuous readings, only when I scan. OOP2 shows no recent glucose readings. I attach screenshots of the event log from xDrip and of OOP2. Any help much appreciated!!

Software looks ok, I didn't see the "streaming enabled" message (it might be firther up) - please confirm that you have restarted the phone since updating and that the Libre app is shut down (I see a white circle in notifications).

Thanks - I've now installed an xDrip release from June 2025 recommended on another site and things were working well, though now signal is lost again. Attached the Bluetooth status page.

Yes I've restarted and there's no libre app on the phone - I use a separate device just for Android APS and xDrip.

I installed juggluco this afternoon which worked immediately and got my loop running again. Here's the event log for this evening in xDrip (which was running Libre Bluetooth rather than patching from juggluco)

can't terll anything from the log it's just those alarm related messages. The Bluetooth status page is to the right of the Classic one you posted, but I see you are using a different app now anyway.

Yes, thank you. I think using the Jun 2025 xDrip+ version also worked, as I can use either Libre Bluetooth or Libre Patched as hardware sources.
