Arrow changed to X

There was a problem with the Anubis transmitter, which was not providing any readings. This occurred after 164 days. I changed the battery, but continued to have problems because the xDrip app had somehow stopped the sensor. I had to remove the transmitter, wait, and then restart the G6 sensor. Although the reading appeared, after a very short time an arrow changed to the symbol shown in the attached screenshot. Could you please advise how to fix this problem?

I prefer the standard arrow. When I use the graphical trend arrow, the X arrow remains visible on the lock screen. How can I get it back?

There are phones that mess up the ascii characters. Then, the only option is to use a different phone, ask the phone manufacturer to fix the characters, or use the graphics trend arrow, which also offers a higher resolution (more angles).

Thank you very much. Restarting the phone resolved the character issue.
