502 Bad Gateway after a NightScout update

I am not able to log into my NS from a browser after running an update from the NS SSH-in-browser menu - getting the subject "502 Bad Gateway" error.
I have seen a page https://navid200.github.io/xDrip/docs/Nightscout/502BadGateway.html which explains that Install NS Phase 1 should be run in case there are "Missing node_modules on the status page.

In my case there are no Missing node_modules but I'm still getting the Bad Gateway error.

Anyway, I have now run the Install Phase 1 after taking backup of DB and variables, and found out that config has remained in place. So did not have to restore backup.

I have also rebooted NightScout several time, and stopped / restarted Google Cloud VM.

Despite all this, 502 Bad Gateway problem still persists.

Please help.

According to the status page, you should also run phase 2.
