Dexcom one+ sensor errors

Hi there, recently moved from dexcom one to one+.

First sensor died after 7 days, kept getting "bg readings missed" alerts and just put in a new sensor.

Now this one is 6 days old and xdrip is showing sensor errors.

Trying to decide if the one+ is just rubbish and will never work, or if i've been unlucky with 2 sensors.

Any help with these errors appreciated

Some of those logs appear because you have enabled detailed logs. Most of those logs will disappear If you disable it.

Sensor errors are detected and transmitted by the transmitter. xDrip does not create those errors.
Some sensor errors are not permanent and clear after a while.

If you ever suspect a malfunctioning sensor, the only way to confirm is to disable collection in xDrip and temporarily switch to the official Dex app.

Just for further reference, the sensor has further degraded.

It is only connecting very sporadically.

If i disable the collector and try the dex app i'm not convinced it would even connect.

My n=1 experience was positive, I used a single One+ solely with xDrip+ and it ran for 10 and a bit days. Normally a Libre user.

Most of that log is calibration stuff rather than the sensor.

Well my record so far :
1 - 8 days, most of last day readings sporadic or missing,
2 - 8 days, most of last day readings sporadic or missing,
3 - failed on insert
4 - 3 days in.

Ultimately remains to be seen if I can get to 10 days, but the sensors are so far trending "no" for me personally.

This may be luck. It may have to do with where you insert the sensor. It may have to do with your body. The connectivity issues, if any, may have to do with your phone. ...

I place the sensor on my arm at the top between the side and the front.
I have been using G7 since November 2023. I have been continuously using G7 since then. That's 16 months. That means I have so far used about 54 sensors. All with xDrip on a Pixel 6a phone.

I once ended a sensor intentionally too early.

Twice, I had sensors that did not insert correctly as the filament was visible coming out from the top. Twice, I had sensors that inserted correctly but did not transmit.
Once I had a sensor that I could see was not going to insert correctly.

Other than the sensor that I ended early intentionally and other than the 5 sensors that never worked, every other one has worked fine for 10 days.
The exception to that is about 3 times I have experienced sensor error and every time I was out in the snow. I don't know if that is relevant or only a coincidence. Every time, the readings stopped for a few hours and returned after I warmed up a little.
