It is the status page that contains parameters that can be helpful to determine if there is a connectivity issue or not. I have gone over this here: https://navid200.github.io/xDrip/docs/Proper-connectivity.html If there is a connectivity issue, it is very likely caused by either wrong settings or by a phone that interferes with apps running in the background. If and only if there is no connectivity issue, which you can figure out by looking at the status page, a Sensor error 7 can go away if you wait. There is no way to be certain if there is a fault with the device unless you switch to the official Dexcom app. If the official Dexcom app states something like readings will not be available for a few hours, I believe that is sensor error 7. So, you then can decide if you want to wait or not. |

Hi,
I'm having issues with my latest batch of Dexcom G7 sensors (rev. 006, manufactured in Malaysia).
The first one lasted 10 days without any problems.
Yesterday I started using the second sensor: after about half an hour I came back and read the error "Sensor Failed 7" and no readings were coming through.
I applied a third sensor and noticed that the "Sensor Failed 7" error occurred again immediately after pairing; anyway the warmup completed and I waited a couple of hours and tried the usual workarounds (removing the Bluetooth device, re-pairing, restarting the phone, etc.) but I still wasn't getting any readings.
I applied a fourth sensor, and this one seems to be working normally (fingers crossed!).
Unfortunately, I was leaving for a trip yesterday and couldn't do much testing, but is there anything that can be done if the issue happens again?
From what I understand, the "Sensor Failed 7" error is triggered when readings are unreadable... is it possible that the issue might resolve itself just by waiting?
Could it have been a problem with the insertion?
It is a software problem?
Or did I just happen to get two defective sensors?
This has never happened to me before.
Technical details: I'm using a Motorola g84 5G phone, Android 14, xDrip+ rel. 2124091707
I attach my logs, if this helps
