I removed the stop sensor option for G7 from xDrip

There is no reason to stop a G7. It is not possible to do it even in engineering mode any longer.

Even if you were able to stop a G7, it would still continue to transmit. So, you don't benefit by stopping it. If you think that after you stop it, it will not interfere when you attempt to connect to your next sensor, you are mistaken. A G7 that has stopped will continue to transmit and you can continue to establish connectivity to it as long as it has battery, which takes about 100 days.

If you find yourself in a situation that you need to stop the session on xDrip and you are certain you don't care about the session on G7, so, you don't mind stopping it, you still can in engineering mode.
I am still running lots of tests hoping to smooth out everything.

My worry was that someone may stop not realizing how final it is with G7 and then it will be too late to do anything. That's why I removed it. But, it was not approved. So, I put it behind engineering mode. And then, it was approved.

If you accidentally stop a G6, you can still restart it. It will not be very easy. But, it will not be impossible.
If you stop a G7, it will be impossible to restart it.

I just put xDrip through a test with G7.
I have had a G7 for 10 days. A few hours ago, I inserted a new one.
So, I currently have two on my body. One will expire in about 10 hours and the other started about 2 hours ago.

I kept switching from one to the other. In the screenshots, you can tell the difference by looking at the sensor expiry note at the bottom of the main screen. The old device shows expiry at 9:50 PM while the new one shows expiry in 10.4 days.

The following image shows the main screen after I switched to the new device. All I did was to forget all devices starting with DXCM on the list and change the transmitter ID to that of the other one and wait for a pair request to approve. Of course if you are using Android 9 or older, you will not get a pair request. But, you will hear a ping.

What I conclude from this is that xDrip can switch between two active sessions as I expected. There is n need to stop a session in order to switch to another.
