Is there a way to forward "domain:port" to "docker-service-name:port"?

Matrix/Synapse has port 8448 that is required for federation. I was wondering if there is a method to get NGINX Proxy Manager to forward as well. When I've tried it, despite firewall being open, the port on the nginx container in docker compose being listed (80:80, 443:443, 8443:8443), it seems to not forward correctly if at all.
