Manage Subdomains

Can you manage subdomains with npm? I have several services on the intranet which I would like to address. I set up a separate domain in the DNS for each one. Would it be possible to set up a domain and then simply use only subdomains in npm?
Example: intradomain routes to npm
in npm I set up server.intradomain and route it to the appropriate IP. Would that work somehow?
