The neurotech challenge series (NTCS) is a new eeg-notebooks-based research study + competition + citizen science initiative, conceived and run by OpenBCI, NTX, and CAMH
(specifically, the eeg-notebooks developers along with Joe Artuso and Richard Waltmann)

NTCS will run from May/June 2021 to X(?). Participants will record their brain data using the eeg-notebooks visual and auditory experiments, and upload them securely to a portal, where they will be aggregated, analyzed, and release as an open-access dataset.

Primary to do's

• Finalize data uploading and consenting website (John)
• Simple terminal-based data quality indicator (Erik)
• Plan out some instructional videos (Jadin)
• Write a '101' instructional article, to be paired with the videos (Ore)

Other notes:

• At next meeting we will choose a target date for roll-out. Probably Mid-May or June
• Schedule an explanatory event where we a) record an explanation of the project and motivation, and b) provide some help for people attending, and c) record and make available
• Submitted data will eventually go into an open-access database
• NTCS 'Phase 2' will involve participants contributing novel analyses for the data from phase 1
• Participants can use any device supported by eeg-notebooks. BUT, we will be focusing on OpenBCI and Muse; and won't be testing or giving tech support for other devices
