Diffuse Reflections (Scattering) in Sionna 1.0: Alternatives to scat_keep_prob

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there's something equivalent to scat_keep_prob from earlier versions of Sionna (<1.0) available in Sionna 1.0. When running simulations that involve diffuse reflections, the number of resulting paths can become quite large, which significantly increases computational load.

I went through the scattering tutorial but couldn't find any feature that addresses this issue directly.

Aside from reducing the number of samples per source, are there any other recommended methods to limit the number of diffuse reflections and manage the computational complexity more effectively?

There is no direct equivalent to scat_keep_prob in Sionna 1. However, you can reduce the value of max_num_paths_per_src, which controls the maximum number of paths that can be computed per source (i.e., transmitter or transmit antenna, depending on the value of synthetic_array).
