Invert / Mirror Display

I have an NSPanel US and need to mount it in "landscape" mode in a specific orientation - buttons on the left. Would it be possible to add an option to "invert" the GUI so it works "upside down"?

Ho, the screens are the same and this is the difference between US and EU panels, correct me if I'm wrong @cablesandcoffee . Not quite sure if you need the buttons on the left or right for the EU file to show correctly.

Yeah - switched the panel to "EU" mode but with the buttons on the left it's upside down.

I've made a test file for you. I don't have a US panel right now so can't test it but I'm thinking this file should solve it. You can change the project orientation in Nextion Editor and I changed the EU file from horizontal 270 to horizontal 90. Github didn't allow me to upload a .tft file so I changed the extension to .txt. Download it, change extension to .tft. Upload using the manager web ui, Upload -> Upload TFT File, choose EU and upload. Then upload to panel by pressing Update GUI on the panel. Panel should have the EU setting set.

Quick question - how to I allocate tis TFT GUI to some panels and not others (think panel on either side of a bed that needs one rotated and the other not). Would this be an enhancement request to have two more "NSPanel Types" to include EU and EU-180, US and US-180?

Ah, nice that you got back. Then we can fully implement this in the upcoming release where you question will also be answered. In the upcoming release there is a setting per panel that allows you to set the type AND orientation of each panel. @cablesandcoffee how much extra work is it for you to automate the build of all 4 types for this new orientation?

Spoke too soon. Saw the screen inverts but I did not do proper testing. The ‘touch’ area of the display doesn’t seem to correlate to the images. The ‘scenes’ icon does not work and the room dropdown doesn’t open the entities page. Will do some more testing this week to try and provide some more info.

Could this be related to the fact that I'm using a US panel, on its side in landscape mode and assigned as EU panel?

My guess here would be that a lot of these issues are because @cablesandcoffee sent a TFT file for beta while you seem to be running stable.

Yes I'm thinking that's the problem as well. I've tried uploading the tft file but to a EU panel and that works without issues. It should work with a US panel as well then because the screen is the same. I can confirm 100% when i get home from vacation and can try with my US panel. If you want you could switch over to the beta @beerygaz. It is almost stable so it not a super big risk. :)

Struggling to find the process to switch to the beta. Do I upload beta firmware using stable manager and then switch to the beta manager?

Are you running within HA or as a standalone docker container? If running within HA it's unfortunetly not as easy as there's no way to keep the data between the different add-ons without faffing around through SSH.
