Hi! Thanks for your question. Definitely there are a few code comparison projects out there, see for example: https://iea-wind.org/task-56-oc7-project-offshore-code-comparison-collaboration-7/ In general though to your comments, FLORIS and FAST.FARM are pretty different, FLORIS is steady-state for example. To your comments, the inflow wind to both codes is an input so I think matching those would be part of pre-processing. |

Hello,
This is my first time posting on GitHub.
I am currently conducting a study using FLORIS and FAST.Farm to validate the results of an upcoming wind tunnel experiment.
My main interest lies in analyzing the changes in load and power output caused by wind farm control strategies such as power derating and yaw angle adjustment.
To this end, I need to use both FLORIS and FAST.Farm, but before proceeding, my goal is to ensure that the wake models used in both tools are fully aligned.
So far, I’ve successfully matched the thrust force between the two models. However, I’m still facing discrepancies in the inflow wind speed and resulting power at downstream turbines, which is a concern.
I’d like to ask if anyone has conducted a similar study or knows how to configure the models to achieve better alignment.
Thank you in advance!
