Optional characteristic

Hi,

If I am correct, your code now enables all required characteristic and optional characteristic in a service. Will this cause a problem in Homekit IOS interface to show the optional characteristic even it is not available? For example, in AirPurifier service, RotationalSpeed is optional. So, the current code, if I create AirPurifier accessory/service, will the Homekit interface show the RotationalSpeed control even it is not available?

If I understand the question correctly then no, it should not show optional characteristics by default in Home.app

Optional ones muse be either sent on input to node first or added to Characteristics Properties in node config.

To respond. New optional Characteristics should make no harm to Home.app, they will not be displayed there.
What is important that Characteristic should be defined properly, if not it will break whole Service or even Bridge. So take your time testing new options, use what people used already and share the knowledge.
