Visualization techniques ideas?

Many analysts have a preferred "workflow" for their work. We are looking to see

• what you do to visualize your results,
• what tools you use,
• what process would you propose to best meet your needs

Some comments from the Spring 2024 CAMP Meeting:

• J. Staudenmeier : It would be good to support a simple generic ascii plot file type that has data channels and units so that someone writing a small one-off code can write a graphics file that conforms to it and could be read by the plotting tool.

• C. Murray @murpup : I am assuming you looked very closely at just adapting Veusz to our needs? If so, what are the reasons for NOT using it?

I am strongly in favor of getting away from the Java Swing graphics and currently support the use of the "Flutter" based graphics toolkit. Flutter provides a huge set of widgets and renders into HTML5 which will be around for a long time. Here is a link to some existing Flutter based charting applications to show some capabilities. Keep in mind that the Flutter API can be used with Python or Java, you don't need to rewrite everything in Dart!
