I'm not aware of a CHANPARM.nc, though it could certainly be added to the code. I haven't noticed instabilities in the MC formulation, but maybe others have. You might try posting to the users group, maybe someone on that forum has come across this. |

Hello I am running WRF-HYDRO 5.2 and after a substantial number of trials I see that the channel routing option based on MUSKINGUM-CUNGE or MUSKINGUM produces noisy and unphysical results (I guess many constraints regarding the length of the stream sections are too long). So I am trying now the option based on channel routing (diffusive wave). According to the doc this is done through the file CHANPARAM.TBL, which is a lookup table of limited capabilities (all the key parameters depend on the strahler order and there is one value per order). So I have heard that there is a possibility to create a fike CHANPARM.nc in which the channel properties can be set according the channel ids in the high resolution file (LINKID) with feature_id in the CHANPARAM.nc file (replacing order in the TBL file). Has this been implemented ? is there any documentation available ?
thanks
jac
