The latest release, at the time of the question v0.5.0 is outdated compared to the example that is tested. In version 0.5.0 only a lid or lidvid can be used as has_target argument.

I created a new stable release with the latest features, v0.6.0. This supports keyword (e.g. Mercury, or mercury) argument for has_target as shown in later peppi presentation and attempted here.

You can deploy it with command:

pip install --upgrade pds.peppi

Then restart the jupyter python kernel and the notebook should work as expected.

Note that the number of products found is going to be enormous so you should break out for the loop after a reasonable number of iterations, with command:

        for i, p in enumerate(self.products.has_target("mercury").observationals()):
            print(p.id)
            print(p)
            if i > 200:
                break
