How to stop remove a manually added radio station?

Hi

To test MPD, I added a radio station to the playlist directory, using:

echo "http://wdr-1live-live.icecast.wdr.de/wdr/1live/live/mp3/128/stream.mp3" > /var/lib/mpd/playlists/einslive.m3u

I started MPD and it worked perfectly. But I don't get the radio station to stop playing despite removing it from the playlist directory.

How do I get mpd to stop playing back that stream?

Sorry if this is a noob question, I am really new to this software.

Surprisingly, by using the stop command. Your MPD client software will absolutely have a stop (or pause) button for you to use. Use that.
