.mpdignore not working as expected?

Hi, it seems I'm not able to get .mpdignore files to work. I've tried so far:

• putting an .mpdignore in the music/ folder, with lyach inside .mpdignore
• putting an .mpdignore inside music/lyach/, with * inside .mpdignore (and another try with **)

Each time, I ran mpc update music. I've also tried mpc update and mpc update music/lyach.
In all the cases, the album inside lyach still appears in my MPD library. Any clue?
