Different width between the select and the dropdown

Hi,

Has anyone managed to have different width between the select and the options? I want the select to be width: "50%" and the options to be width: "100%".

Best solution would be to just apply padding so auto-width is applied and then the options dropdown should have fixed width.

Since my options title could be long, I have to make the entire select big enough to fit them and there's lot's of whitespace:
