Default Cart

I see that setting a default cart seems to have been removed or is not working. Could it come back at some time please?

Can you please tell me what Tang FPGA board are you using ? (e.g. TN20k, TN9k, etc.)
What µC board you are using ? M0S (bl616), Pi Pico , ESP32 ?

Using the TN20K with the MOS dock and the MIDI shield.

i checkted today latest a2600nano_tn20k.fs and also latest firmware for the M0S including the needed OSD configuration file atari2600.xml
Binray Firmware version 1.1 from official FPGA-Companion repo

I also deleted the a2600.ini file on the SDcard just to be sure...
Didn't found malfunction related to saving default boot game.

You just have to selecta Game ROM using the Storage menue.
Check that it is working properly as few games don't work !
After that press under the Settings the option > Save settings and that's it.
While performing a power cycle your previous selected Game should be loaded automatically.

Yes - that works very well.

I was still trying to name a rom a2600crt.bin - which now seems like the outdated method.
