[BUG] App refusing to download video from a particular link

So I'm trying to get an HQ version of a video that requires age confirmation, and even though I add my YouTube login info under "authentication" in the settings, it does nothing.

Steps:

1. Paste link in question
2. Select "best quality" (It doesn't work at any quality but I tried to get the best one for my archive first.)
3. Hit the download button
4. Nothing happens, video never gets added to the queue, (even though the website says that no account is required for download).

If there is something I'm doing wrong with the Authentication, please let me know the steps to do that properly.

Well first of all,

check your yt-dlp version with yt-dlp --version

if it is not 2025.08.22, then consider upgrading with pip install -U yt-dlp.

if it is latest version or still getting problems after upgrading,

Check your cookies.txt, if it doesn't have fields like LOGIN_INFO, please extract it again, and try downloading again.

If even it is not going to fix, please try with your cli to see what issue is and inform me here so I can handler for that error.

Thanks so much! My yt-dlp has been updated and I've found the cookies file and i didn't see "login_info" when I opened it in notepad.

So what exactly does "extract(ing) it again" mean? I've done a clean uninstall and reinstall of the program, but if that is not what you meant then please provide some steps.

UPDATE: After some serious googling I figured out how to make the download work from the command line, so my issue is that I'm not sure how to add my cookies to the mediaharbor program itself.
SO f that was what you meant by "extracting again" and not just reinstalling the program, a how-to guide would be great!

First of all, sorry for late responses.

Secondly, you can use Get cookies.txt LOCALLY extension to export your cookies correctly.

To do that:

1. go to youtube.com
2. ensure you're logged in
3. watch a video just in case
4. click to extension, and export as
5. open mediaharbor
6. click settings from left menu
7. choose yt-dlp settings from top tab navigation
8. first setting is cookies, choose its location,
