Integrating Google Perch 2?

Birdnet-go is considering integrating Google Perch into its detection pipeline, I was wondering whether that would be feasible for chirpity as well?

I've been thinking about it and may take a look over the winter months. I think the challenge will be converting it to TFJS. The version of the model @tphakala links to is a non-starter, it's a GPU only model. However, 2 days ago they released a CPU compatible version - I'll wait for some docs before looking at it more deeply.

BirdNET 3.0 is apparently due this year. I hope this will offer similar/improved performance to Perch and an easier inclusion path.

Perch is available as an additional classifier in version 5.3.0 for Windows users
