With vterm as backend, I open a session from a remote TRAMP buffer, the aidermacs buffer is created but then I end up in a bash shell instead of running aider. From there I can run aider manually but it's not set up with the correct model etc, although the transient menu commands work. Does anyone else see that? It works fine over TRAMP with comint backend.
