I'm lucky to got my hands on a populated board. Should've measured my system voltage beforehand.
Unfortunately my bus system (multi tenant building) seems to be running on 60 V... The board is designed for 36 V at max. Any tips on how to make it work anyways? Step down converters seem to be a poor choice in terms of inteferrence, i guess.

Unfortunately, the board is not compatible with a 60V system and would not work with a step down converter. I didn't even know that there are 60V ABB-Welcome systems. What model of indoor station do you have?
The circuits responsible for sending and receiving data on the ABB bus would not work if there is a step down converter between them and the bus. Sending works by using a resistor that draws additional power and turning that on and off very quickly. The receiver detects the small change in voltage caused by that. A step down converter with its capacitors would smooth out any voltage changes. So to support 60V, not only the onboard step down converter but also the receiver and transmitter circuits need to be redesigned with a higher voltage in mind.
