Colors get muted when DWMBlurGlass crashes

I didn't want to open a bug report because I'm almost sure this is an Nvidia issue but I wanted to make it known still. About once or twice a week DWMBlurGlass will crash for me, mostly when watching Youtube and it's no problem, I press "retry" and everything works again.

However once the display recovers the colors on my screen are much more muted. I use HDR and Digital Vibrance in the Nvidia Control Panel but no matter what I do I can't get the colors back to normal unless I log-off and back on or restart my computer.

Things I've tried to fix the colors otherwise:

• Disabling and Enabling HDR
• Reset the Nvidia Color Settings
• Restarting the GPU driver through Windows
• Uninstalling and reinstalling DWMBlurGlass
• Turning the monitor off and on

So the crash messes with something that only gets reapplied when Windows restarts. I'm using:

• Windows 11 24H2 26100.4351
• Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti Super
• DWMBlurGlass 2.3.1

Would anybody have any insight on what is happening here?
