It seems that this may not work with ELM327 adapters. ELM327 does supports 14230-4 KWP, but I'm not sure if that works with VAG KW1281. Do you know?
Have you seen ELM327 adapter work with VAG KW1281?
Do you use a different type of adapter? If so, can you tell me anything about your adapter?

I have a VCDS USB cable that works well with my car through Windows device, also your app detects the cable, but doesn't detects the my Volkswagen because of this missing protocol.
