Separating "Session" and "Annotation set" concepts

I'd like to allow easy switching between different "Annotations", while staying in the same collaboration "Session".
Aiming to enable comparison/merge etc. of annotations made by different users/AI.

But what is then a "Session"? Does it exist only while ppl. are active in it? Is it like a Zoom-room which you can return to?
