I'm going to close this one. We are moving forward with a field for content warnings on deposits. We may want to revisit the idea of a content statement later on in the project. |

I've tried to do a bit of research and I did find this article on how some libraries, museums and other digital collections are handling it: Content Warnings for Digital Collections.
This looks like it could be an interesting read, though long: Typology of content warnings and trigger warnings: Systematic review. I do find it interesting that at the top of the page is this message:
Recollection Wisconsin has a toolkit on developing content statements for use by libraries, museums, and archives that might help in thinking through this as well. They also link to the Guidelines for Inclusive and Conscientious Description on the Harvard University wiki.
We might want to think about developing our own content statement in addition to allowing users to include their own CW on deposits.
Thoughts?
