Hard deadline for the PR merged #4977

Dear everyone, might know the answer, I am now working on a PR for the issue. I would like to know whether there is a hard deadline for merging the PR before submitting the full GSoC application. The full GSoC application period starts on March 24, 2025 and ends on April 8, 2025. However, I haven't seen any information related to the deadline of the PR merged from either FAQ or Blog. And, some issues might take time to discuss and finalize the codes, so it would be great to know the deadline in advance. |

Our blog post says
This means by the time we make the decision on your submitted full GSOC proposal (submitted through Google Summer of Code) you must (1) fulfill GSOC's eligibility criteria and (2) our criteria, such as "≥1 merged PR". We make our decisions soon after the closing of the GSoC application period so to be safe, I'd say you should have a PR merged by April 8. cc @MDAnalysis/gsoc-mentors |
