Add tests for `newspaper` data

This is a spin off from issue #2. Currently testing covers aspects of create_adjacent_tables.py but very little of the main focus of this package on processing newspaper xml. Following @kallewesterling:

• Mock tests of newspaper xml
• Tests of real newspaper xml subset (suggestion of trying hmd)
