New Legend/Form sub-package for handling forms as a part of ecosystem

We’re excited to share that we have plans to introduce Legend/Form, a new form-handling library designed to fully integrate with Legend State while leveraging its core strengths: persistence, performance, and true reactivity.

One of the common challenges in form management is the inconsistency in paradigms across different libraries like react-hook-form and TanStack Form. These tools, while powerful, don’t always align seamlessly with the Legend ecosystem, leading to unnecessary complexity and performance trade-offs.

With Legend/Form, we aim to provide a granular, truly reactive form-handling solution that eliminates unnecessary re-renders while offering a seamless experience across React and React Native. Our goal is to create a silver bullet for forms, ensuring that developers can build high-performance, persistent forms without needing to link multiple libraries with different approaches.

While our main focus remains on Legend/List v1.0, we see this as a natural next step in solidifying the Legend ecosystem. If you have any ideas, feedback, or specific use cases you’d like to see addressed, don’t hesitate to share them here—we’d love to hear your thoughts!
