Why is recovery so difficult

I had to reset all my devices, so I installed everything now through docker and dockge. What surprised me was that zigbee2mqtt showed up empty. I had to reset my devices, luckily I saved my devices so signing in returned with the same devices (names etc). Isn't there a better way?

Did you copy the data directory over ?

Where can I find the data dicertory, and how do I copy it?

if you use docker, in the docker location you specified in the docker-compose.yaml or the docker run command.

I see, yes I saved those files and replaced them, the configuration.yaml even had the IEEE adres labeled, so I was curious why it didn't recognize my switches
