I think this would be super helpful, especially for people with RSI. Copying and pasting every time sounds really tiring. I hope this feature gets added soon! |

VS Code’s speech dictation (provided by Microsoft's official VS Code Speech extension, default hotkey Ctrl + Alt + V) works perfectly in normal text editors and in the GitHub Copilot Chat input box. However, the same shortcut does nothing in Kilo Code. Every voice query has to be dictated in an editor tab, selected, copied and pasted into the prompt -- doing this for each request quickly becomes tedious.
Here is my feature request: pressing the Ctrl + Alt + V hotkey or clicking the microphone icon on the Kilo toolbar should start VS Code’s speech dictation so that spoken text is inserted directly into Kilo Code. Also, there should be a live-transcription indicator to confirm that the extension is listening.
That change would be a huge benefit to those of us who suffer from RSI.
