Feature Request: Save & Create Custom Collections of Shabads & Banis for Easy Access #2086
Description
Currently, searching for additional shabads and banis (e.g., extra pauris, sloks, or special recitations like rehraas sahib and aarti as performed at Harmandir Sahib + extras) requires manual searching each time. This can be challenging, especially for users with low software literacy.
Feature Proposal:
- Allow users to create and save custom collections of shabads and banis together
- These collections can be opened easily and navigated with simple key presses (e.g., down key) during recitation, eliminating the need for manual searching.
- Enable customization options so each gurudwara or user can set up collections as per their traditions (e.g., rehraas sahib with additional pauri, slok m: 5 & m:5, aarti as per Harmandir Sahib + extras, and other specific shabads).
- The feature would complement the existing setting for longer/shorter versions of banis by allowing even more granular customization.
Benefits:
- Greatly simplifies the process for users and elderly people who sometimes feel limited to use the app, enhancing accessibility and ease of use.
- Encourages more personalized and tradition-aligned recitations.
