Thanks for your suggestion, however Directory-based layout is not something within Scope for Kavita. You might like to try Stump, which has this sort of functionality. |

Idea Description
The additional of an additional recursive alphabetical folder scanning level will allow a more ordered placement of files & avoid issues which may arise from max folder-item limits, hidden path-length limits, scan time burdens, & reduce disk activity during library update scans. Presently two file layout requirements are presented which naturally fit into the bounds of this feature request.
The example: Sorting media into an alphabetical directory structure,

By enabling a toggle at the Add Folders level indicating an Alphabetical Grouped Directory Sort, it would be possible to add this scan in with no impact to existing user libraries.
