If OctantCanvas is working then it should look better than BrailleCanvas.

So could you show perhaps show a screenshot where using OctantCanvas improves the resolution over BrailleCanvas ?

Sorry – it does NOT increase the resolution compared to BrailleCanvas. It looks "better" because the lines (e.g. the axes) are continuous and not dotted; I guess that's a subjective statement. It has a higher resolution than BlockCanvas.
