Ender Chest Not Opening

Since updating to 1.25.5 it does not seem that ender chests can be opened by click. I've tried reloading and removing and readding ender chest to white list but still does not open.

Likewise – looks like my server doesn't put the full stack trace for the NPE into the logs, but it's the same error:
